The second album of the Yekaterinburg one-man project Chaotic Bound Systems is an example of true deep skill and genuine talent. Even more full-bodied, diverse and melodically more complex and multi-layered than the previous album "No light", but at the same time more transparent. Paradoxically, despite the abundance of instruments and their seemingly dissonant parts, the album has a lot of free space and air; there is not even a shadow of slowness and heaviness in it - which often happens with avant-garde jazz improvisations. Tenor sax, xaphoon, piano and guitar set the tone here, Kein uses them to create utterly abstract patterns, sometimes crosshatched by nervous passages of the rhythm section.
