LARMO / NOTHING HAS CHANGED - Grey Zone (SPLIT) CD
CD edit released by Zoharum.
"Grey Zone" is a split of two projects that have a lot in common; both artists come from Silesia, both of them work within broadly understood electronics. Both in the music of LARMO and NOTHING HAS CHANGED, you can hear echoes of many genres that fit into the industrial aesthetic, from bass music, through various genres of techno to rhythmic noise with numerous journeys into further stylistic areas. In their case, they are only a starting point, or they serve as a tool or material that they use to compose their own tracks. Here, illbient motor skills, a heavy foot and the use of raw, rough sounds serve as a carrier of emotions, intensifying the impression of a dense, stuffy dehumanized atmosphere in which our imagination is freed to draw subsequent frames of a film in our heads, played in slow motion, realizing dystopian visions of the inevitable. The titular The grey-zone is defined as "competitive interactions among and within state and non-state actors that fall between the traditional war and peace duality" Despite many similarities, which somehow constitute the existence of both projects on a common release, each is implemented using its own, individual musical language, developing individually with each subsequent publication in their discography.
Split album released on CD in a 6-panel ecopack with a circulation of 300 copies.
