Press-Kit: Hula were founded in Sheffield in 1981. Three members (Mark Albrow, Alan Fish and Ron Wright) lived with Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire) and Paul Widger (They must be Russians, Clock DVA, the Box) in a villa called Hula Kula. After trying the bass players Alan Watt and Chris Brain (Tense, NOS) Hula recorded the impressive debut album Cut From Inside with Mark Brydon (Chakk, Moloko). Ingredients like cut ups, steady rhythms, and paranoia vocals were blended together into a unique white funky sound. Cut From Inside originally came out on Red Rhino Records in 1983. One year earlier, the first EP under the name Hula was released, entitled Black Pop Workout. It was mostly recorded at Cabaret Voltaire's Western Works studio. This re-issue collects all of Hula's earliest works prior to the seminal second album Murmur. Remasterd by Martin Bowes for this CD. Full tracklist: 1. Flesh Metal 2. Mother Courage 3. Church Juice 4. Murder In The Clean State 5. Release The Grip 6. Dirt Talk 7. Stretch The Attitude 8. Subliminal 9. Feeding The Animal 10. Ignoring The Famine 11. Sacred Serials 12. Junshi. Price: € 18,-/copy incl. worldwide shipping.

It's been 28 years since the last album by Eric Random.... born in 1961 in Manchester, UK, Eric started his career as a member of The Tiller Boys, but soon went solo. His early albums were eletronic with a load of guitar noise, he later went purely electro (when collaborating with Cabaret Voltaire) and then moved on towards a more ethnic/world music...

In 1985 Zyx released a second album,...

Sandy tells a few words about the period: In the 1990s only small independent labels existed which had their own area to cover distributionwise hoping to spread our music in the world. "The Rhythm of the Rituals" (1994, Charnel Music) and "Ein Phallischer Gott" (1997, Crowd Control Activities) shared some songs. There were no official media supporting...
We would like to present another album in Rapoon reissue series. And this is an unusual album. Released in 2002, "Rhiz" is an album with ... dance music. Robin Storey continued to use distinctive elements for his work, such as blurry vocal samples and drones sound passages, but rhythm is in the forefront in six "Rhiz" tracks. A good ear will find here...
"Time & Form" is the debut of the duo hailing from Tri-City. The material was recorded at the turn of April and May 2018, shortly after Natt and Akton gave birth to DREN. The music on the album is characterized by eclecticism. Over the course of eight electronic works, you can hear strong influences of industrial, ritual sounds and widely understood...

“The Ritual of the Rave” is the sixth installment in this series and is an expanded version of the 1995 album. It has not lost its freshness in those years. It is electronica with strong ambient and ethnic music influences locked in six long, slowly developing compositions.
