The first component was the film, shot in Greece in 2016. The vantage point is a clifftop I have visited many times. A strange sense that the water curves up into the hemisphere of the sky here is always startling. The surface of the sea perpetually coruscates with patterns describing wind movement. The entire landscape feels sentient.
‘Thresholds’ is the first Sal Solaris solo album in 15 years marked by a variety of collaborations, splits and minor releases. From a musical point of view this is probably the most complex and certainly the most rhythmic work of the duo which opens a new chapter in its history.
A debut full-length album of the Berlin-based project Notum! Despite releasing a debut full-length only now, Notum is not a newcomer to the world of experimental music. The first digital EP "Wooden Grandmother" was released back in 2015 and was followed by a series of self-released EPs, last year there was a joint cassette with Neznamo, and a while back...
There's yet another, third name, I won't reveal. The final words on the LP are: 'My friends'. For piety reasons I won't explain the original context of the voice, nor reveal the identity of the woman, who speaks these words. Work on the composition began as early as 1979. A rough sketch of these first steps utilizing analogue rhythm machine and Minimoog is included as the bonus track on this disc. It became obvious that "Grünschattiger Nachmittag" was impossible to realize on the Fairlight CMI. It took nine years for the equipment at Audiplex Studios to match the technical...

After working together on various one-off improvisations Meixner/Pittis have decided to join forces for a new creative outfit. INTRAVENE, dare we say it!, combines the two best features of the participants’ main projects: it has Contrastate’s...
"Use the Air" is a selection of works for the stage that have been created over the course of 15 years. Their origin in relation to choreography is difficult to put into a methodical formula. The productions were never about "dance music" in the classical sense, towhich the dancers hang like puppet threads. The starting points were djing, live...
